Charley has developed experience in Executive Compensation, Stock Options, RSUs, SARs Planning, and ‘all things retirement.’ He loves working with people of all ages and uses his knowledge to bridge the gap between generations. Charley prides himself on being a problem-solver who enjoys collaborating with people to help pave their financial path. When working with his clients, he approaches their situation as a puzzle. In his role as their financial advisor, Charley assists clients in understanding what pieces are in their own puzzle, and how they can fit together into a perfect picture.

Experience and Education

Charley joined IEM in 2013 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a bachelor’s degree in personal finance. He currently holds his FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network® and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional (CFP®). He loves the challenge of translating sophisticated mathematical analysis into real-life strategies that help address unique client needs.

Personal

As a Saint Paul, Minnesota native, Charley continues to call the “cooler” Twin City his home. His hobbies include anything in the realm of sports, particularly golf, tennis and fantasy football, and spending time with friends and family outdoors at cabins.

An avid music fan, Charley has limited his potential musical career to singing in the shower. Charley enjoys travel having studied abroad in Europe, and he's also made the trek around the world having visited Thailand.

Charley also has a British black lab, Kenny, by his side at all times during after-hours
