When Ted founded Integrated Equity Management, he had a vision of providing personalized, common-sense financial planning to help clients pursue their financial goals, and provide comfort in knowing that they and their loved ones are financially secure. For more than 30 years, and through ever-changing economic conditions, this concept has stood the test of time by establishing sound financial plans with real solutions that produce real results.
With an underlying philosophy of keeping the client’s needs and priorities first, Ted is actively committed to a high level of service while backed by an independent, national firm that brings flexibility and access to diversified financial products that have long track records of success.
Ted particularly enjoys being part of the “full cycle” of many client’s lives—from helping them as novice professionals to watching them send their children to college, and now into retirement. With many relationships spanning his 40-year career in financial services, it’s particularly fulfilling to see his clients realizing their goals.
Experience and education
Ted has been a financial advisor since 1977. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance and Marketing, and holds the Registered Health Underwriter (RHU), Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®), Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) designations from the American College as well as the Certified in Long-Term Care® (CLTC®) designation.
Ted and his wife, Missy, live in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. He has five children and three grandchildren, and is an avid golfer and faithful Minnesota Vikings fan.
Chief Strategy Officer
Over a decade of leadership experience in financial services prepared Cammy for her role as managing director and chief strategist at Integrated Equity Management (IEM). Assisting in building comprehensive wealth management plans and investment recommendations, designing work-flow process improvements and constructing financial strategies for the advisors to use with clients—Cammy has led virtually all aspects of a private wealth management firm. Her forward-thinking mindset has brought numerous innovations to IEM’s holistic client approach, use of technology and positioning for a vibrant future.
One thing remains clear to Cammy: commitment to doing the right thing for clients—no exceptions—is the only way to grow a wealth management business. With this in mind, Cammy built a team of exceptionally talented individuals, ensured that the right products, solutions, and technology are available, and worked with her father, Ted Smith, CEO of Integrated Equity Management, to leverage all capabilities for IEM’s clients.
Cammy also founded and owns reVive Consulting+*, a business consulting firm. Her ability to forge relationships has advanced her to global consulting engagements with lower middle-market companies, where adoption of her recommendations also allows her to implement change management plans.
Cammy earned a BA from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Business and an International MBA from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain, where she was awarded the Dean’s List Merit for finishing in the top five percent of her class. Cammy is also fluent in Spanish.
