Daniel Schoenecker, CFA®, CAIA, MBA
Vice President of Wealth Management
Daniel joined Integrated Equity Management in 2017 as director of financial planning and investment management. Daniel quickly became a member of the IEM leadership group due to his valuable industry knowledge and a continuous drive for professional growth and development. Daniel now manages the seven-person Operations team at IEM, consisting of financial planning and client services. In addition, Daniel oversees the IEM portfolios and helps shape the IEM investment strategy and philosophy.
Daniel has worked in roles that have included equity research and analysis, top-down macro-driven asset allocation, as well as comprehensive financial planning. Daniel has a BS in economics and political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and in 2016 completed his MBA at the University of St. Thomas, with an emphasis on investments and finance. He is a CFA® charterholder and holds the CAIA designation.
In his free time, Danny enjoys working out, summers at his family’s cabin, and trying new breweries. He often daydreams of living in an RV and traveling around North America for a year.
Manager, Client Strategy Services
Melissa joined IEM in 2017 as manager of insurance and annuities and was shortly after promoted to her current role of manager of client strategy services. Melissa has nearly 10 years of wealth management experience, sharing her insurance knowledge and expertise to help clients protect their loved ones and prepare for the unexpected. She now also provides support in all areas of financial planning. Her professionalism and genuine desire to effectively serve our clients make her a highly respected member of the IEM team.
After spending three years living abroad, Melissa moved to Minnesota to live near her identical twin sister. She is married to a commercial airline pilot, Steve, and they live in Maple Grove with their two young daughters, Adelyn and Hailey. When she is not going on adventure walks to the local park, painting Picasso-like masterpieces, or re-enacting scenes from various Disney movies, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and playing tennis.
Melissa earned her BA in psychology from Columbia College in Missouri. She holds her Minnesota state insurance license for life, accident, and health. She is also currently studying to obtain additional registrations and licenses.

Manager, Client Services
Noah joined IEM as a registered client service analyst in early 2018 and was quickly promoted to manager, client services. He ensures that trades, account updates, and other important instructions are carried out on behalf of clients. Noah derives great satisfaction from leading a team that is dedicated to educating and helping others fulfill their financial goals. He has been in the financial services industry since 2016, working on behalf of both institutions and individuals.
Noah grew up in Carver, Minnesota, and has a BA in economics from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and is a Registered Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network®, holding the FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations.
Naturally curious, Noah enjoys reading, painting canvases with acrylic, and brewing kombucha and beer with his wife, Sonia.
Financial Planning Assistant
As a financial planning assistant, Muqing is responsible for working with advisors and clients to gather, input and analyze financial planning information. She began her career at IEM in August 2017 as a college intern, initially focusing on data management, and she became a full-time associate on the Financial Planning team in 2018.
Originally from Zibo, China, Muqing received her BS in mathematics with a focus on actuarial science from the University of NC at Charlotte in 2016. While there, she received a Mathematics Department Honors Degree for a paper she researched and wrote on optimal investments. She received her master's degree in financial mathematics from the University of Minnesota in May 2018. In 2017, Muqing qualified for the Champion Round of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Trading Challenge by performing among the top 10 percent of participating teams.
Muqing enjoys her work helping clients achieve their goals through financial planning. She lives in Minneapolis and likes to travel and draw in her free time.
Registered Executive Assistant
For more than 30 years, Suzanne has enjoyed supporting financial advisors through her work in managing professional and practice development, product areas, and client segments in the corporate offices of financial services firms. Now working with Ted Smith as his executive assistant, she is a point of contact for his clients, facilitating service requests, communication, and applying her experience from her time in this industry to helping clients achieve their goals.
Suzanne is a Registered Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network®. She holds a master's degree in international business studies from Saint Louis University, and a bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations, advertising, and applied communication from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She lives in Edina with her husband and four children.
Insurance & Financial Analyst
Working with people is what Ebenezer enjoys most about his role at IEM. Whether with clients or with other coworkers, he finds that working as part of a team makes work much more enjoyable. Ebenezer is an insurance specialist at IEM and has been instrumental in introducing the wonderful capabilities within IEM's digital client portal to clients.
Experience and education
Ebenezer joined the financial services industry in 2016 after earning his bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Minnesota with an emphasis in organization, business, and nonprofit.
Born and raised in the Twin Cities, Ebenezer currently resides in Cottage Grove, Minnesota, where soccer continues to be a major part of his life since early childhood.
Client Services Office Coordinator
Getting to know clients is what Gretchen enjoys most about working at IEM. With more than seven years of office administration and customer service experience, she finds importance in enhancing the client experience while keeping things running smoothly and seamlessly behind the scenes.
When she isn’t at the office, you can find her teaching high school band, training for her next marathon, fishing, and camping (she likes to be outdoors as much as possible!). Gretchen studied chemistry at the University of Iowa and now lives in Minneapolis with her adorable cat Reggie.
Registered Client Services Analyst
Carrie sets up new accounts, processes account service requests, and supports the Private Wealth Management and Financial Planning teams. She enjoys working in financial services, not only because it is valuable information for her own benefit, but because she likes seeing how it can give people confidence knowing they have a strategy in place.
Experience and education
Carrie started in the financial services industry in 2004. Over the years, she held a variety of operations and compliance roles before deciding to transition to part-time work and join the IEM team. She holds her FINRA Series 7, 24, and 66 securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network® and received a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
Carrie lives in Woodbury with her husband, Jason, and two boys. She likes to keep busy by reading, biking, and playing sports with her family.
